Teachers-Kim Euntaek’s Profile
Euntaek (aka E.T.) is a studio and live session keyboardist based in Singapore, fluent in most genres of music that include classical, pop, funk, and jazz. After playing classical music for 13 years since the age of 5, he finally discovered contemporary music as he turned 18 and has been having the time of his life. Apart from his freelance session work, he currently plays with pop/rock band Sixology, jazz/fusion band Kimchi & The Laksas, and the Reflections Quartet.
Euntaek has performed in a range of venues that include the Esplanade Concourse and Outdoor Theater, Night & Day, and eM by the River, as well as weddings and corporate events. The band Sixology has won various competitions including Stardust 2008 and the Yamaha Asian Beat 2008, representing Singapore in the Grand Finals in Hong Kong. Euntaek is also part of the NUS Jazz Band led by music director Iskandar Ismail and conductor Tan Chin Boo, performing for both the big band and the small band. He recently recorded for Sarah Cheng-De Winne’s EP Let’s Pretend.
Euntaek also plays the violin and the bass, and has a strong fascination for the guitar though he can play just about nothing on it. Also, Euntaek is an avid gear lover, often shocking his guitarist and bassist friends with the the wealth of knowledge on the newest cutting-edge gear that he acquires in his free time from the internet.
