Jeremy Lum, renowned music composer, arranger, educator and pioneer in
promoting Creative Musician Programs, workshop and courses – real world music concepts in Singapore.
A graduate from Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles; music composing, arranging and technology are his forte. During his tutorship, he was trained under Dick Grove (Best Jazz Educator of the year 1988) in Composing and Arranging, Jack Smalley (Prince of Egypt) in film scoring and Orchestration , Terry Trotter (Larry Carlton Group) in Jazz Piano.
Back in Singapore, he had worked in Schtung Music and was founder and director of Yellow Box Studio, serving as a professional composer on Advertising soundtracks including MacDonald’s, SingTel, American Express, Far East Organization, Ministry of Health, Media Tech and Tiger Beer to name a few. Jeremy works also included an arrangement of a ninety piece Hongkong Philharmonic Orchestra for Ah Mei Concert (Song Title – Time To Say Goodbye), String arrangement for Jacky Cheung, Zhang Ching Fang, Alex To and etc.
In addition to his composing and orchestration work, Jeremy Lum had lectured Composition, Jazz theory, Songwriting, Jazz improvisation, Keyboard Skills and Music and Audio technology in La Salle Singapore which helped many students pursue their dreams in musicianship.
